As Cambridge emptied out after another stressful Michaelmas term, the Women’s team dutifully stayed behind to journey to Ipswich for the RYA Women’s National Team Racing Championship. It was a packed weekend, with 48 races to get through on day 1 alone. With a few of our regulars missing due to other sailing commitments, and the rest of us missing out on our home comforts, our aims were simple: have some fun on the water, manifest our perfect conditions, and don’t come last. True to form, we delivered on all fronts, finishing a very respectable 6th out of 9 over a breezy, sunny, and enjoyable weekend. Congratulations to our fantastic hosts, Royal Hospital School Sailing Academy, on taking the crown despite fierce competition from some of the UK’s top university talent.
