Cambridge and Birmingham sailing teams filled the first five positions in the BUSA Qualifiers 2018 held at Grafham Water SC 3/4 February. Cambridge Blue and Black are through to the BUSA Team Racing Finals (2-4 April, Strathclyde Loch). Purple aim to fight their way through at the Playoffs (3/4 March, Bartley Reservoir).
The Grafham BUSA Qualifiers 2018 were very well organised by Warwick, with good support from current Cambridge students. Former Cambridge Commodore Tim Palmer acted as Principal Race Officer. A flat calm and continuous drizzle precluded any racing on the Saturday. An early start and effective organisation on the Sunday enabled each of the 16 teams to sail ten good races in the moderate conditions.
