Cambridge Finish 11th, 15th, 19th At Wilson Trophy – May 2015

Cambridge Yellow won 12 of their 22 Swiss league races, but lost out to Itchenor, O&CSS, and BUSA in the tie break for 8th, and so finished 11th in the Wilson Trophy held at West Kirby on 8-10 May 2015. West Kirby Hawks, the UK’s team for the Worlds, were the winners; Cambridge Blue finished 15th; Cambridge Pink 19th; and Oxford 24th – out of a field of 28 teams.

Congratulations to Yellow on their performance, which brought them the Youth Trophy (Under 21) – so the squad did not return from West Kirby empty-handed. Cambridge (particularly Blue and Pink) suffered from several team changes, and this undoubtedly affected performance. However, it will have given incoming Captain Tim Gratton some input to his planning for the coming year.
